Borroloola Anniversary

In September 2011 the Borroloola Police Museum celebrated 125 years of a Magistrates Court sitting in Borroloola. The commemoration included a ride in by police and judiciary to the historical station and a ceremony on the front lawns.

Locals elders watch the ceremony including Noel Dixon who is also one of the longest serving Aboriginal Community Police Officers in the NT.

Magistrate Elizabeth Morris follows in the footsteps of circuit Magistrates from yesteryear.

The police party lead by Deputy Commissioner Shayne Maines (4th from left) bolstered the local members for the occasion.
